A quick and easy Jamaican beef and bean chili!
Beef and bean chili is one of my favorite dishes when ground beef goes on sale and this note uses Jamaican spice flavors! This stew contains the main ingredients of beef, beans and tomatoes, replacing the seasoning with jerk flavors, including scotch bonnet paprika, a lot of allspice, thyme, cinnamon, nutmeg, garlic, ginger and citrus fruits. Instead of preserving the heat of the dried chili peppers, the scotch bonnet pepper provides the heat of the chili in this chili, and they provide a lot of heat! I love to fill this chili with peppers and garnish with sliced fresh pineapples with crispy fried plantains! This Jamaican-style beef and bean chili is super easy to prepare and is full of incredible flavors.
Simmer the chili pepper, covered, longer to bring out even more flavor!
Garnish with melted cheese and/or sour cream!
Serve over coconut rice, rice cooked in coconut milk instead of water!
